Gully Boy’ has started to rave reviews, coming as a hearty joy following quite a few rancid masala films entering the Indian box office.

Zoya Akthar’s earnest film tells the story about an aspiring Muslim rapper at a burgeoning hip-hop culture in India’s suburbs. Ranveer Singh is your fighting rapper, Murad while Alia is his childhood sweetheart Safeena.

Before the film’s launch, many were cautious that the film would portray Muslims in a negative light, but the reviews are in and ‘Gully Boy’ has been famous for revealing them in a really favorable light.

While Murad struggles stereotypes of regressive Muslims by doing everything he could to gnaw his way through the slums to be a rapper, his girlfriend Safeeena is equally courageous and feisty; critics cite how”neither the hijab nor the walls of her home can confine [her],” and at one stage”beats girls who attempt to flirt with her boyfriend” Both figures are described as”profoundly impactful” and also have a”driving force” inside the film.

Critics have been commending the much-awaited film that melts from the generally recycled trope of all masala films.
